Head Legal for a realty firm

This position was open for six months and most candidates from Mumbai were already interviewed. The client wanted a candidate with 18 years of experience, a LLB/LLM and having excellent knowledge of legal documentation and procedures.
   
Targeted real estate companies within Maharashtra region and did mapping of each company. Was looking for a candidate who had handled both litigation and non litigation work. He would be handling a minimum of 8-9 team members under him. One reference came up which was exactly matching the criteria.
   
This candidate was (M.Com & LL.B. from University of Pune) with 20 years of experience working with several big organization such as Phadnis Properties, Runwal Group, & Pentagon Group. After 3 rounds of interview the candidate was selected for this post and was offered a CTC of INR 30,00,000 p.a. The challenge was that this candidate was a Pune resident and he had to relocate to Mumbai. We met him to understand his relocation plan. After serving 2 months of notice period, the candidate joined our client.

 

Fuel Head for a leading Power company

The criteria for this requirement was a thorough procurement experience in coal only which was a very rare combination in the market. This position was floating in the market for more than 6 months as the client was concentrating more on the stability of the candidate.
   
Targeted some coal based companies in India. Did mapping of those companies. Started taking the names out from a particular company. And found one suitable candidate from Vedanta Group, who was currently AGM-Procurement. Initiated discussion with him. He was a passive candidate & not looking for a change. He had spent 10 years with Vedanta. Spoke to him about the client’s upcoming project which was huge than Vedanta. Convinced him about the challenge and he agreed for a personal meeting.
   
He went for the interview and got selected as he was having good stability, good leadership qualities, good experience in Procurement of coal. He got an offer of INR 49,00,000 p.a

Profit Centre Head

Client wanted a candidate who is currently handling the business of INR 800 Crores with general segment as therapy.
   
We did mapping of candidates who are currently working with top pharma companies as a SBU Head.
   
We called and met 10 interested candidates in our office. Post screening we sent 5 profiles to the client.
   
Client shortlisted 4 candidates for the personal meeting out of which 2 candidates were set up for a final meeting with the MD.
   
Client also asked us to do Reference checks of both the candidates.
   
Finally a candidate was offered INR 100,00,000 & joined in 60 days.

Senior VP - Corporate Branding

Client had created a new position in the company and did not have a job description. They wanted a candidate from a top FMCG company with an MBA from the IIM’s.
   
First we prepared the JD and shared with the client. Then we did the mapping of HUL / P & G and of candidates who are currently based in India or candidates who had worked with these two companies . From the short list they were interested in 3 candidates. They called all the 3 candidates for an interview and finally selected one candidate who had passed out from IIM (A) and had worked for HUL.
   
Now the challenge was for us to convince the candidates on parameters like:
   
 

1. To shift from FMCG to Pharmaceuticals

2. Heard first time what is “corporate branding”.

3. Salary (INR 35,00,000)


It took 8 months to fill this position during which period we were in touch with the candidate and the client for an update. Candidate joined with the salary of INR 58,00,000.
